About PHINXT Robotics
We are bringing robotics automation to warehouses of any size and we are doing it by building the first horizontally scalable platform for mobile robotics.
Our core technology enables heterogeneous fleets of robots to cooperate on complex tasks even when they lose access to a central network. We focus on logistics automation to solve the fragmentation of robotic solutions in the industry, which is the main obstacle towards adoption amongst SMEs.
By enabling automation across the logistics network, we create a more resilient, distributed, and diverse backbone for the delivery of supplies. It looks like Amazon automation, but it works more like Kubernetes + Istio! You will be joining a fast-growing startup backed by venture capital.
We have recently secured £2m from Sure Valley Ventures and Ada Ventures to fuel our growth and shape the future of warehouse automation. (You can read more about our recent fundraising in The Times and UKTech News, as well as learn why Ada Ventures invested here.)
We are now looking for a rock-star Head of Sales to lead our commercial efforts through our exciting next phase of growth. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-growing robotics automation company, transforming the logistics and warehouse industry through cutting-edge technology.
As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, driving revenue growth, and building strong relationships with new and existing clients. You will work remotely but will also be required to visit customer sites and attend meetings at our office as needed.
The Role
This is an incredibly exciting and important role for the next stage of our growth journey. You will work closely with our founders, Yanwen and Quirino, and:
- Own, execute, and develop the next stage of our commercial strategy, taking us from a few customers to tens of customers;
- Own the end-to-end sales funnel — taking customers from qualified leads, to Proof-of-Concept pilots, to full implementations, expansions, and renewals;
- Build, iterate, and develop the next generation of our KPIs, GTM playbooks, and marketing collateral;
- Be deeply familiar with our customers’ pain-points and needs (as you will be speaking to and meeting them regularly), so you can input into our product road-map as a key voice of the customer.
As the first full-time commercial hire within the business, you are expected to be scrappy, resourceful, and hands-on in their execution, with the intention (over time) to build out and lead a high-performing commercial function.
Candidate Profile
We are not prescriptive and understand that an amazing candidate can come from anywhere, and really encourage you to apply even if you do not think you hit all the criteria below.
We do believe that the following key attributes and experiences will significantly increase your ability to succeed in this role:
- Existing network of potential customers and decision makers within eCommerce and Logistics.
- Proven experience growing a customer base from a few to dozens of customers (especially for highly-technical products); landing and expanding enterprise-scale accounts, from prospect to pilot to implementation and expansion.
- Incredibly strong communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to get stuck in to a scrappy, fast-moving, early-stage environment, with experience using data and KPIs to drive efficiency and output within commercial functions.
Nice to Haves
- Technical background / understanding, especially within robotics automation.
- Experience picking up from founder-led-sales and building GTM playbooks.
- Experience working with our tooling and technologies. (We currently use Hubspot as our CRM.)
- Experience growing and developing a commercial function, having begun as an execution-focused contributor.
Interview Process and Next Steps
We anticipate the interview process to last several weeks, and to include:
